The mission of the Albert Lea Area Learning Center is to help students in special circumstances achieve success upon which they can build.

Important Dates

These upcoming dates are important for ALC students, parents, and staff to be aware of.

2012-13 New Student Registration Dates

Students interested in attending the ALC can register on these dates.  Registration takes place at Brookside Education Center/ALC Room 218. 

ALC Evening Conferences

Conferences are held QUARTERLY

Extended Day/Night School Credit Recovery

MCA Testing / MCA GRAD Retesting Dates

Initial MCA tests are offered in March and April and retests are offered every other month so check back regularly for updates!

Statement On Testing

The computer system for MCA statewide testing provided by American Institutes for Research had technical issues on April 16th. Many students of Albert Lea Area Schools who were taking their tests were impacted at four different schools. We are currently awaiting resolution from the Minnesota Department of Education on how they plan to alleviate this situation for the future. Please encourage your student to continue with their best effort during the next test opportunity.
